If grilled or smoked, it's called Huli Huli Chicken
If you make it in a pan on the stove, it's called Shoyu Chicken.
4 split broiler chicken (or chicken pieces)
Marinade:
1/2t. garlic
1t. Hawaiian salt
5T. shoyu
2T. sesame oil
1T. sugar
5 cloves garlic, minced
1t. paprika
Combine marinade ingredients. Soak chicken in marinade for at least 1 hour. Grill or smoke for Huli Huli. Cook on the stove top for Shoyu Chicken.
