I'm looking at my life from a new angle. Underwater looking up, I hold my breath and hope that soon I will learn to take in this new ocean of being and find oxygen there. The moon is hidden from me, but I feel her pulling away, waning gibbous. She too is turning her face towards the darkness, hiding what secrets she holds dear, keeping them close. Hidden in the folds of her heart, she can greet each sadness without reproach. Like me, she smiles and makes friends with grief, comes to an understanding. A new place. Night tears are dry by morning's light.
